Chelsea Spyres is the Pastor and Executive Director of Riverfront Ministries, the operating partner for the Wilmington Kitchen Collective. Chelsea is a native of Newark, DE who spent time in Detroit, MI and Washington, DC before returning to the area. She has worked both in non-profit and traditional church spaces, and she feels her current role brings the two together in the best of ways. Chelsea holds a Master of Divinity from Wesley Theological Seminary and a Bachelor in Human Services from the University of Delaware. She is passionate about the intersections of food, faith, and community, which led to the birth of the Wilmington Kitchen Collective, a community-based project that develops under-utilized city spaces (especially church kitchens) and turns them into a commissary space for food entrepreneurs.
