Michele VanNostran has been pursuing design and delicious food her entire life. A born and bred Wilmingtonian, she studied marketing in nearby Philadelphia then packed her bags to teach abroad in Seoul, South Korea. There she explored the nuances of regional cuisines, Korean skincare and eastern design sensibility. After returning back to the states she serendipiously landed her first hospitality gig as Executive Assistant to renowned restauranteur, Stephen Starr. While assisting Stephen, Michele further developed her culinary palate, eye for design, and marketing acumen. Ready for her next challenge, she moved to New York and joined the small (yet mighty) team of Carissa’s Bakery in the Hamptons, a women-led, James Beard Award winning fast casual concept.
